Barrel aging is the maturation of beer in a wooden barrel. Because the barrels once contained a certain type of spirit, the wood has its own character. In this way, barrel aging creates beautiful beers with a new taste palette. Think of vanilla or other sweet flavors in combination with woody aromas. We alternately fill Kees Export Porter or Barley Wine. Some of the varieties we have already used are Makers Mark Bourbon, Laphroaigh, Buffalo Trace and Jim Beam barrels.
